I'm not sure if this is much of a revelation for anyone but, in a publication called Farmers Finder that comes to my mailbox in rural Ontario Canada http://www.cleansave.ca/ They claim is it reduces your hydro consumption cost from 2% to 20% and it is described as a product that "can stop almost everything from small daily power surges to major lightning strikes. It takes pollution out of your home farm of business hydro system and adds up to 32% more life in you costly appliances and equipment"

My first reaction is "snake oil" because of weasel words like "up to" and "almost" but I am not an electrical expert, I don't really understand the technical aspects and I don't know if such a technology is possible.

I did a google search and got the following results <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.google.ca/search?q="clean%7Evolt"&ie=ISO-8859-1&hl=en&meta=>http://www.google.ca/search?q="clean%7Evolt"&ie=ISO-8859-1&hl=en&meta=</A> with a number of distributors and additional pieces of information provided.

Has anyone had first hand experience with this unit? Can anyone offer comment on the feasibility of such a device based on their tech specs?

Thanks

Bob

Not necessarily snake oil, just some dam good copy writing.
From the limited information they actually give, it appears to be a combination MOV and lightning supressor. They also cover their a$$ real well specing a 1 nanosecond clamp speed, WITH 6" OR LESS LEADS".
Things it certainly isn't,
Power conditioner
Constant voltage supply

So, how magnetic gasoline mileage enhancers would you like to buy to go along with this wonderdevice?

Hi Franz
If I had a couple of those magnetic enhancers /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif maybe I could adapt them to my oil furnace line and/or my propane tank line then I wouldn't even need to think about the wind power or the power conditioner options. And like a few other folks, I could just settle on making "big bucks" with alpacas or llamas or .......
