After much dikering I thought I would share the final price I negotiated on my new tractor in an effort to help out other buyers.

New Kubota 5740 HSD w/cab and FEL
Options are, rear work lights, Rear defrost, rear wiper, am/fm radio with weather band, 1 remote hydro unit with double acting valve, quick detatch bucket, and Ag tires.

List price was over 45K, my price delivered is $36,800.00 with out tax.

Sounds like you did bette than me. Here's what I just did:

L5240 w/ cab (hydrostatic plus) and FEL, 72" squareback bucket, loader Quick Attach, rear wiper, CD player radio option, rear work lights, 1 standard remote, 2 FD remotes, Top-N-Tilt, and Ag tires. I had to have much of this installed by dealer so I think that makes it a bit more expensive than coming from the factory already equiped.

List about $45,500, selling price $39,047

Some of the Cab options were installed at the dealer, as were the Ag tires. My first quote was $39,900 but I told him I had a much better deal somewhere else and he came way down. Took delivery on Tuesday and it is a SWEET MACHINE! Thanks for all the good info!

PS. what is the Top-N-Tilt for?

Top-n-tilt is a set up that replaces your top link and one of your linkage arms for your lift arms with a hydraulic cylinder, which enables you to tilt a box blade (usually the implement most often used with a top-n-tilt kit) by lengthening or shortening the cylinder that is in place of the top link and / or the one that is in place of the linkage to one of your lift arms. These are really popular in AZ and CA. Not as popular in other parts of the country.
