Wich I had a better solution, but after over 2 months of no rain it's not the buyers market on used equipment.

Great pictures. Sorry about the drought but it seems everyone has those problems from time to time.

It must be working as your field is looking good and green.

Around here most big farmers have irrigation as the summer months are usually very dry.

Is water a scarce resource where you are? Would you able to irrigate at night so it soaks in better with less evaporating?

Have a plan to build me a pump guard so I don't ruin the pump if things happen with the water supply. Before that are in place I don't dare to leave it alone all night.

The source of water is a stream, made by shovel and wheel barrow around 1895 I believe for irrigation.

The intake is about 1,5m deep and as this was unused for 20 years full of dirt. Still some bugs in the old design so when they shut down the water in the stream as they do in winter time I must make some improvements on this water intake.IMG_20180703_153702.jpegIMG_20180703_153657.jpeg

I've seen better grass in the back of a Van!! :)
It has only grown a week with water after it was cut but it's in a sorry state, the fields needs a lot of work if it's going to produce deasent amount of grass. The problem is money, verry little money to be made just selling the grass so that stops any plan. If I move permanent here and starts up with sheep things will be different.

Sorry, I was making a joke about the funny stuff that you smoke.

I have always wanted to till up my lawn.
It seems they best grass in my yard was always where I tilled up for a garden.
