Tractor News The Little Grey Fergie (ornament)

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but my late grandfather left me a model Grey Fergie he received from MF after 25 years service. I'm hoping someone could tell me a bit more about it, if not, may be point me in the right direction to find out some information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a very desirable collectors piece. Especially with the glass case. Should become a family heirloom for you.

Looks like that might be him in the photo in the background?
All MF memorabelia is of some value. I hope you never sell the model. The little lapel pins are also collectable. I wonder if he ever met Harry?

Where in NI are you? I have family there and traveled all over the place when I visited 25 yrs ago. My favourite was the Bushmills Distilliary...

Buy a copy of "Old Glory" or Tractor News magazines and make enquiries with "The Friends of Ferguson Heritage".

No I have no plans to sell and I have put it on display in my living room. I would just love to know more about it. I'm sure I will get many a question regarding it. My grand father worked for a company in NI which had the main contract to sell MF in NI at the time (over 45 years), that is no longer the case. In regards to the lapel pins I actually have two of them, the one in the photo and another of the MF logo.

I live close to Bangor in North Down, that would be about an hours drive away from Bushmills.

Yes, I went through Bangor. My family connection is to the Ballymeena area.
