without the 2720 helping out.

I had a 500 lb propane tank I wasn't using, and found someone who could, so it was time to move it today. As you can see, the tank was buried under a bit of snow. No problem for the 200CX to deal with that part of the move.

The tank was a bit frozen in so there was a bit of yanking to be done. Again, the 2720 was up to the task.

The only area that was challenging was to lift up the tank and block it so the car hauler could be moved into place. The tank was about 1/2 full. We then used the tractor to lift the rear end as the tank was being winched on.

The exercise was successful, however confirmed that I'll be purchaing a 3X20 (likely the 3320) in the next few months. The 2720 is excellent in so many ways however the lift capacity I need, especially with the pallet forks, is about 250 lbs short of what I need.

It looks alittle bit cool in your part of the country. The person behind the loader looks frozen. Was it full or empty when you moved the tank? We had some questions about this how is the recertification on the 500 LBS tanks?

What Pallet Forks do you have?
The JD pallet Forks are stupid heavy, so if you have those, you won't be able to lift much at all. I bought a set of JD ones, and HATED them, the tractor was useless with them on because they maxed out the tractor empty.
Then I bought a set from Everything Attachments that were 200+ Lbs LIGHTER, and now my 2520 is an Animal with the Forks. I could not believe the JD forks limited it soooo much. If you have the JD forks, get rid of them, and try a lighter set and you will love your 2720 with the forks in comparison.

if you already have a lightweight set of forks, then you will likely need a larger tractor to lift more.

I think I would tear up a lighter pair doing the rock digging and tree digging that I do with them.
Also, heavy loads of split wood. The limitation is now the ballast on the rear.

Depending if your tractor is larger than his, then yes. Otherwise, the heavy forks kill the weight lifting capacity. My 2520 was useless with the Obese JD forks.

I did go slow, but with no mishap moved it from where it was on a pallet in a field 1/4 mile away and up my driveway to the garage. It was 2 years drying and stacked good and I just didn't want to restack it (if I didn't have to ) so gave it a try. This is just before moving it into the garage. Now I just stack on the pallets about 3+' high which is about the limit of the forks with only the ballast box that I have. I stack two pallets high for drying then after two years set them down so they are one high. Then with the forks on the rear 3 ph and only the snowplow blade on the front, I can get the single pallets into the garage when needed (about one every 5 days this winter). I'm halfway through my 28 pallets of dry white ash wood. Think I'll make it just fine.

He was out of 500 gallon ones that he leased or sold, had 1000 gallon ones that he only sold, but his delivery truck was down.......I asked if he could load on my trailer, that he could do. I unloaded it and set it with my JD 2030 and 245 FEL. No idea what it weighed, it was empty except for a holding charge of propane.

Once set, his service man trenched in a line and adjusted the regulators.

The 245 loader is a monster! With enough ballast and your 60hp tractor - I'd bet you could wrestle 3,500lbs! (Maybe close to 4K, even.)
