Just a baseball cap? That's admirable. I used to be able to pull off that look, but these days my wife insists that I wear a shirt and pants in addition to the baseball cap.

I was thinking that perhaps a canopy for your tractor might be in order here. It's not a bank breaker and I'm constantly surprised at how much nicer tractoring is without the sun beating down on me.

Well, I'm a new tractor owner, baseball cap was all I had, & I'll be darned if I wasn't gonna do me some bush hogging that day! No matter wind, rain, or blisterin' hot sun!!

Of course I'm already done with that "new tractor ownership" philosophy - Any more bush hogging in 90+ degree heat will have to wait until my plywood roof is done. :thumbsup:

Edit: Oh lord, I get it. Missed it the first time. :laughing:

I made this for my dad's Mahindra 4110. Not finished in these pics (need to take a couple more). Since this stage I added diagonals, rounded all corners & edges, sanded it as needed (aka minimally, painted the whole thing fence coat flat black, cut off any extra U-bolt length & put caps on 'em.

Cost was a piece of 5/8" plywood, one 2x4, 2 lag bolts, 2 few little wood screws & four square U-bolts. Probably 50 bucks total.

Making this same roof for my L3940 is #2 on "My List" right now :thumbsup:

This outta help with the sun baking, at least some.

(I've been meaning to take a couple more pics now that it's done; Posting these un-finished shots outta prompt me to do so now (I don't think I had already posted these, anyway?!?)
