Marvin just dropped off the L4060 and wow is it impressive. I can't believe how much larger it is than my L3800. I haven't drove it yet, but it is somewhat intimidating just sitting on it. I'm going out to play now. :)

I thought Sunday was odd also, but Steve called yesterday and said they would bring it up. I said bring it up. :) They brought 2 hats also. What a dealership. They were just awesome to deal with the whole way around.

I am sure you will love the extra FEL power, and backhoe power, as well as general heft of the machine. Not to mention the HST+. What a beautiful machine.:thumbsup:

:):cool2::):drink: Congratulations! Great looking machines.
I love how new owners (me a few times) are walking around the loaded machine, looking all over, maybe a few pictures, grinning all over and Marvin just keeps on working to get it off/unloaded like he does it every day and it's just a routine for him and we're not in his way. Guess being retired Army makes him focused and he is a great guy. I don't see hats, like the tractor no pics no hats.:D

I think Marvin thought me and my wife were nuts. He just kept working and we kept taking pictures. Marvin is such a nice guy. It was an exciting day for us.

Well I worked with the machine for about 3 hours yesterday. HST + is a real plus. :) The tractor is so much larger than my old L3800. It's going to take some getting used to I see. The BH is strong. My other tractor had a 16" BH bucket and this one has an 18" bucket and but seems so much larger though. I was snapping tree roots with no issue.

A few things I noticed in the little seat time I had. This is comparing my L3800 to the L4060. The HST pedal seems to be allot different than the old tractor. It's going to take some time getting used to. I had the tractor jumping around allot when I would move and kept hitting the reverse part of the pedal when wanting to go forward. The FEL bucket is allot larger and harder for me to judge where it is at. That will take some time to get used to. The seat for the BH is very close to the controls. Once sitting there I am ok, but my leg won't fit between the seat and the controls, it's too tight. I couldn't see an adjustment for the seat.

I love where the throttle is located. It is so easy to adjust the speed from there. The tractor is a good amount quieter I'm sure to the the Tier 4 exhaust. The dashboard is nice. It has allot of information on the display panel. The power up for the FEL is very useful. The H-DS is nice when using the loader. The canopy will take time to get used to it being there. No clutch. I like that, just sit in the seat and start the tractor. Speaking of the seat, when you sit in it, it's like sitting in a tractor trailer seat. It goes down about 5". I need to adjust that to stiffen it up. Too much bouncing. What I what to know is why Kubota wouldn't put in a suspension cup holder. My beer was bouncing around everywhere. :)

So far, I love the tractor, but there is a big learning curve getting used to it from the L3800. The Grand is allot larger than what I need, I could have settled for a B26 for all I need to do, but I wanted to Grand ever since I bought my L3800 at the time. This may be my last tractor and I wanted something that I would be happy with and I am very happy.l1.JPG
