New Holland TC40DA, Kubota K008-3 excavator
I have been holding out on everyone...I have had my new tractor now for a couple months, a TC40DA 16LA frontend loader and gearmore box scraper. I moved to a bigger property and just had to get a bigger tractor to go with it. I still have the TC26 DA and decided to try to sell it on my own because the dealer would not give me much for it. I have over 100 hrs on the new tractor and can really feel the differance having the exta wieght and hp moving dirt and clearing brush and trees. I also like the stability of this wider tractor.

Nice rig :D! I suggest you purchase a bolt on cutting edge for your FEL. It will strengthen and protect the FEL cutting edge. NH also makes a bolt on tooth bar that can fit over the bolt on cutting edge. I am still working "She Who Must Be Obeyed " for the tooth bar. Let me know if you want the part numbers :)- Jay

Those pictures I took were when it was a few days old. I will have to take some of it all dirtyed up for everyone.:) I have a toothbar from I think a place in North Carolina called Markem Welding for the other little TC26... real nice for digging. I did not Know you could get a smooth edge to go over the smooth edge of the bucket! That might be a good idea for me because I like to drop the edge staight down with the front wheels just off the ground and run backwards. This has worked great on banks and slopes and for leveling an area I am getting ready for the new horse barn. This seems to work better on the hard ground than the box scraper because I can get more down pressure. Then I take the dirt and drag it with the box scraper. Here is a before and after of the area where the barn is going to go.

I installed a reversable cutting bar and it does go under the bucket, works very good.

I have a 45a with a 16 loader. What do the cutting edges and tooth bars run?

In general for your 72" bucket, the cutter bar runs a little less than $200 and the toothbar a little less than $300. Depending on freight and local pricing, your price may vary.

I'm attaching a picture of the cutter bar installed with an inset that shows it is reversible.
