Early this spring I replaced the tires on my x-758 after 76 hours on the mower . I bought a set of Ag Bar tires this spring . Now after mowing my yard two times and the tires work very well .

Why did you go R1? Wet or really steep grade? Doing ground engagement work with it also?

That's the full time 4x4 diesel garden tractor. You didn't get enough traction with turfs?

The tires that come on the X-758 4X4 are the HDAP and hard on my grass . I went with the R1 because it is a four wheel drive and I do use the tractor to pull heavy things . The R1 bar tires are a bunch easer on my grass and still work well when needing more traction .

Interesting, I have no experience with the HDAP tires except seeing them on the Deere's in the showroom, I would have guessed they would have just been a slightly more aggressive turf and not so hard on the grass.

That's good info to know. How do you like your 758? What's the good and bads?

The HDAP Tires would pull grass out of the yard just driving across it plus track dirt into my shop .
The X-758 is a very nice little tractor I mow a lot of grass and also cut a bunch of firewood .
Really like the Diesel half Gal an hour mowing and cheaper then gas . I bought the X-758 in may last year and now have 80 hours on it . I would like to shut the four wheel drive on and off (it is full time) but no real problem . The new R1 bar tires made a big difference I run them with very low air (6LB.) rear (8lb.) front and the ride is soft . I only wish JD would offer a loader for it do not like the CTC loader .
