My wife and I spent a couple of nights in Fredericksburg last Dec. the weekend after George H.W. came to the Pacific War museum. We loved the countryside there... saw plenty, many deer and lotsa highfenced property. We stayed two nights in the Granny Hein B&B and did the mainstreet tourista thing during the day. The weather was in the upper 20's Sunday night when we got there and it was a hoot sittin' in the jacuzzi under the back porch, submerged up to our noses in the toasty, warm water to keep from freezing our everlovin', nekkid buns off.
We took a side track on the way home to say we went through Luckenbach. Trouble is we did not know that Luckenbach only consisted of a post office and dance hall. Since the Luckenbach city limit signs are perpetually stolen and are no longer replaced from what I am told, we passed right by Luckenbach without finding it. Sure did want to see where Waylan, Willie and the boys use to hang out and felt like we missed a bit of Texas culture when we couldn't find it./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
