the simple things

This photo got me thinking again how a lot of the shots i like best are very simple (or even 'empty') ones; especially if i'm looking at a shot with a view to hanging it. just curious what people would think are their best simple shots?

here's one of mine i like a lot - and i can easily understand why someone might think it unredeemably bland:
