the use of abbreviations and acronyms

Personally, I don't see any reason to use them other than it's seems fashionable. For obvious reasons we used them in the Army but today everyone talks in code and depending on the venue the definition of an acronym changes...

All Purpose Cleaner
Armored Personal Carrier
American Power Conversion

Never mind another stinkin list.....Say NO to acronyms....
