This pertains to any tires but especially car tires and the like. They festoon the entire sides with all their bull&^%$ along with the required goobledygoop in big huge letters. The one thing that is hard to find and read is the only thing you really gotta gotta know, the inflation specs. It used to piss me off then I turned 55 and it became a real hassle. It wouldn't be so bad if it was something you had to do just now and again like changing oil but why oh why make those numbers so hard to read? As far as I know they are all guilty of it.
Tractor tires I guess are the exception but probably just due to their size. On the other hand when one of those goes it's at a speed where nobody gets mangled like the rest.

Vehicle tire manufacturers always default to what the maker of the car/ truck specifies. I think it came about after the Firestone/ Ford Explorer rollover law suits.

Yep, I usually use a flashlight to get indirect lighting so I can read the inflation data and the date of manufacture code.

Wipe the tire with a wet rag and put on your reading glasses. A lot easier to find and read what you are looking for. Thank God the tires are big, so they can get their entire life story on just one side - ha,ha.

Amen! Numbers are there worst. I can make out words generally.

Inflation pressures are usually named out by the Equiptment manufacturer in the manual and if a car it is on the sticker on the door frame. A tire manufacturer does not know what the finally use will be and can only give a maximum pressure.

I use the nomenclature plate inside the door. The other day I looked at a tire that was so cracked you couldn't read the numbers. My big horse trailer has the specs on a tag inside the trailer with weight and sn. But other trailers don't have anything on them.

Absolutely! I was just thinking this when checking wife's tires before a trip. Could be I need stronger reading glasses but better to blame the %#*$ manufacturer. Military Stencils PSI ratings with 4" tall numbers, or did when I was still horsing around big camo machines. Thanks for sharing, misery loves company,

I just put a little peal off paper sticker on the back edge of the door and write the correct pressure on it with a marker pen. Write it directly on the paint of the tractors near the front and rear wheels.
For a car, if you buy replacement tires the ideal pressure may be a little different than what the car manual says. If the wheels/valve cores have built in low pressure
warning devices you have to watch going too much higher than the manual recommended amount or the warning will go off from that; at least on my jeep and GMC truck.
