The ZEAK alimite fitting will not fit

I have a OLDER Howse 6' finishing mower I put in new bearings in it. The zeaks were gone I put in a 1/8, 1/4 and they will not fit it..
I even tried a metric 8 and 10 nothing will fit.
I heard there is a plastic grease fitting that will fit in there.
Is there such a thing..

Is it possible the originals were the press fit style? Personally, I never liked them much. If you can, drill and tap for the NPT (pipe threads) and be done with it.

I think you mean "zerk alemite" fittings.

Lubrication Fittings - Alemite

There are plastic caps for zerk fittings to protect the exposed end of the grease fitting. I don't recall seeing any type of plastic fitting that will replace a zerk.

I've drilled and tapped my fair share of holes for replacement zerks. Not a difficult job.
