Hi!

I am from South Africa and have built a tow behind vibrating roller.

The drum is 1 metre high and 2 metres long

I have a eccentric weighted shaft running through the middle of the drum.

What I would like to know is at what speed must this eccentric weighted shaft turn and does it matter if it turns clockwise or anti clockwise

I intend using 2 cylinder Deutz engine to drive via fan belts and a PTO clutch

The whole unit weighs + 3 ton

All advice is appreciated.

Pictures would be extremely helpful. Is the Deutz engine mounted on the roller assembly?

Hi! Bob

The motor is mounted on the rear of the frame.

I have removed the motor at this stage as the belts kept on coming off etc. etc.

Due to the above mentioned belt problems I have decided to fit a PTO clutch.

I will take photo's and will try to post them but I am not to clued up when it comes to posting on forums, espeicially pictures.
Kind Regards.
Theo.

Above the reply box, select the fourth icon from the left (a little tree in a box) and follow instructions. It's really pretty easy if you already have the images on your computer.
I think it was a wise choice to remove the engine from the frame, unless it was extremely isolated. Which could account for having belt issues.
