Well after many years of reliable service that my old mig weld gave me, i finally had to replace it. So after lots of reading and searching, I decided to go with the 211i. It seemed to be about the best machine for the buck. I was looking at a miller 252 but also wanted a base arc for in the shop. So that is why I went this route. I have used the welder for about 10 hrs so far and I love it. It burns pretty much anything a guy wants. Been using the arc more than the mig part so far but I like the versatility of it. Haven't invested in the tig portion yet but once feasable I will. I would recomend it to others looking for an interter unit that are on a budget. It ended up costing 1480 taxes in(can). Ill have to post some pictures of it next time im in the shop.

Glad it works good and you're happy with it. Miller has the Multi-Matic 200 but I think it's over priced for what it is.

I looked at a lot of welders and ya miller is very good stuff, but bang for buck I couldnt compare. I think my next unit will be the 252i. We use both miller and lincon at work and I like both, but they both come with a hefty price tag on them.

I got a 211i last summer and am happy with it. It is a definite upgrade from the tombstone. I really like the mig and swapping back and forth between mig and stick is so quick.

I have the same machine, have half a 12lbs roll used up on mig. I find it to be a good all around machine. Have not tig welded with it, but mig, stick and welded aluminum with the spool gun. Runs 7014 good, 7018 fair, but dont even think about 6010/6011 1466157_345830662220705_1175447141_n.jpg1450078_345830642220707_188495866_n (1).jpg

I've got a 181i and I've got no complaints. I was running aluminum with the Tweco whip and a teflon liner which worked pretty good. Then I broke down and bought a spool gun a while ago, for a cheap gun it works quite well, only problem is I broke the button for relieving the feed pressure so I have to push it down with a screwdriver......Mike
