Thermistor / solenoid replacement on Jd 4300

Fellas i am going to work on tracto tomorrow My question is does it matter how i place the thermistor or let me say. I have a black and white wire that connects to thermistor. Does it matter which way you connect thermistor ?

Makes no difference. It is not directional. Just basically a variable value resistor.

Tractor fixed. Has new thermistor and push button just in case it decides to take another crap and new solenoid. It clicked hard and fired right up. The fella that may buy it is bush hogging with it right now so again i appreciate the information and this site thanks again
