I have a Kioti CK2510, FEL, BH and BBlade. Thinking about an 18' trailer. The tractor, filled wheels and implements weigh about 4,500lbs. What capacity trailer should I use ? I have a 2015 Chev Tahoe with a trailer tow package with brake controller.

Budget is a fair consideration, but safety, adequacy and comfort are paramount

Beaver tail, deck over ?

A 7k trailer would work, but you may consider a 10k for future needs-sounds like your truck could handle it. I prefer a car hauler type trailer.

Agree that a 7K would work but will be at its limit. My 7K tilt bed trailer was at its max with my Mahindra 2615HST. Tractor weighed about 4300, trailer weighed 2400 so only had 300# leeway. When I bought my LS I also had to upgrade the trailer. I went way over what I needed to haul the LS and bought a 14K tilt bed.
For your 4500# a trailer rated for 8-10K would work and give a little room to spare. That package will also be about max capacity for your Tahoe as well.

Get a 10K or 12K trailer. 12K is not usually that different other than heavier running gear.

I prefer slide in ramps on a low boy flat deck trailer. Car hauler style.

I'd get a 7,000 pound trailer. A Tahoe is rated to tow max of 6,400 pounds, so this is plenty of trailer.

The OP should carefully check his local laws and how they are enforced. A quick check shows the Tahoe lists a max tow capacity of about 8,300 lbs. 2015 Tahoe Trims: LTZ - LT - LS, 4WD & 2WD | Chevrolet
I've read here many stories of areas in the northeast US where towing laws are strictly enforced and if he had a 12K trailer he'd be liable for trouble even towing it empty. Here in Mississippi they seem a lot looser on enforcement.
Additionally many places will allow one to register the trailer for a lower rate than the mfg ratings. If the OP plans to tow with the Tahoe for the life of the trailer he might be able to buy a 10K and get it registered for 8,299 for example.

7000lb trailer is all you need based on your tractor and tow vehicle.

if you upgrade the tractor in the future, you'll need to upgrade the tow vehicle and then the recommendations of a 10k or 12K make sense.
