It's incredible that the momma dog figured out that the safest place for her pups was in the fire truck. She's one smart little doggy!

I accord most dogs I've been acquainted with a high level of intelligence. The present pup, a 6 month old Corgi, has taught three humans to respond to her needs. She tells us when her food or water bowl is empty, patiently watches us eat and awaits a hand out. I can say "tug toy" and she fetches the appropriate toy.

She has even taught SWMBO to feed her cashews.

And she owns the backyard.
