I owned a '77 911S for about 15 years. What a fine car that was! It's still scooting around the Baltimore, MD area.
Mine had a heavily modified engine...basically a '72 RSR engine...and was it sweet!
As far as the pilot...I can't believe how stupid he was...unless this was an emergency landing (which wasn't mentioned in the article).

Roy I'm willing to bet that if it was an emergency landing that they wouldn't consider filing charges against him. My guess is just plain "pilot error".
Does make one think though, when we were kids we used to run snowmobiles on a few airport runways. Never got chased by a plane though.
