For some reason I recall peas as being very touchy when canning. I do know the canned peas were looked at very carefully before using.

All that shucking gone to waste is a waste.

Chuck, about 50 years ago when I was a kid, okra was one of my money crops. I cut it every other day and sold it to the grocery stores in the little town where we lived at the time (Healdton, OK). Early in the year, I'd get $.35 a pound for it and by late summer it would be down to a nickel a pound. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If you want some horse manure, grab a pick up and make the trip over here. We have plenty of it already composted and I suggest putting it down after this years stuff has been harvested. All for the price of nice drive. I'd guess your under 80 minutes from me.

It is big, in every way..... and that is all that I am going to say until the title is in my hands. It is also over 5000 miles away, so anything that can go wrong, might go wrong. It isn't a muscle car and it is in original condition with about 19,000 miles on it. Been garaged since new, but does have some slight rust on the lower edges. Nothing that can't be taken care of easily. Right now, the biggest problem is getting it moved. If for any reason, I can't get it moved before October, then the deal is off. We are working hard at both ends to get it moving. The window of opportunity is very small... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I might just take you up on the offer, but I will look around here first for horse dung. Lots of horse and cattle farms, so it might not be worth the trip. Thanks for the offer... Junk..
