I agree with you completely!!! I'm sure you've heard of the "deep pockets" theory in lawsuits. The drunks that have hit the rear ends of the squad cars don't have much, so the cities and officers have gone after Ford. I don't agree with it, but it's happening, which makes me wonder why and how long Ford will continue making the "police" cars.

I agree, onlybull. Here in Louisiana, the state atty general filed suit against Ford. In response, Ford refuses to sell the state police any more Crown Vic interceptors. The police in turn have asked not to be part of the state's lawsuit. Crazy.
I guess the bottom line is that there are not many options for police departments if they want a decent sized, powerful vehicle.

A few years back, the PA State Cops were using a Porsche 911 (drug confiscation, I believe) as a pursuit car on the PA Turn Pike. That one was unmarked, if I recall.
