thinking about a big tex trailer....anyone know what a fair price would be.....

I currently have a 20' gooseneck with a 5' dovetail that is a 20k lb trailer but it is a little short for my tractor with an implement on the back. I was thinking about selling my current trailer and getting a Big Tex 25gn but with a 31' or 33' deck. I could deal with a lower capacity trailer but I do need something that is a little longer. I will be towing it with a f-superduty(1.5 ton truck) with an 11' bed and a gn hookup through the bed. I was wondering what would be a fair price for this trailer? Also is there much negotiating in buying these trailers? I am not in a huge hurry to do something but am likely to within the next year or so.

Are you actually in Memphis (Tenn), are you buying from someone locally, or do you plan/have to travel a good distance to get one?

If I had to drive a few hours to get one then I could do that but I'm not really interested in driving halfway across the country to get one. Yes I am in Memphis, Tn.

I know when I went looking, all the dealers I talked to quoted list,and wouldn't budge.

There's a nice trailer on ebay 8 hours to go.

I would watch craigslist for trailers. I have found all of my trailers there. I bought a 24' deck PJ gooseneck in great condition 14,000lb for $3000.

The only thing it needed was a turn/brake light and a different plug to match my truck.

I would think with that amount of time you would find one there.
