Thinking about buying a Kioti 1153 PX, anyone out there have any experience with one and it so how do/did you like it. Got burned on a mahindra last time and so am a little gunshy of buying another off brand.

Thanks

I have about 1800hrs on a DK90, which is the precursor to the px series.

It has been almost completely trouble free so far. At 30 hrs or so the water pump was replaced due to a tiny leak where the pump met the block. There is a fin type seal which had wrinkled a bit when installed at the factory. This was an unusual problem apparently and no trouble since. This was a Perkins thing, not a Kioti thing.

I replaced the tie rod ends with the updated ones due to reports of a few breaking. That was warranty also at about 500 hrs or so. Mine didn稚 break. That was preventative.

Mine has a tier3 Perkins which I like a lot. It is a torquey little motor, for sure.
添ours has a Doosan, so I don稚 know about that.

Otherwise they are very similar, with the 1153 probably overall being a better tractor due to refinement and a few more features. I especially would like the hi-lo button for haying, but my DK does fine without it. It would be finer with it.

I think the gear shift and loader control placement is better on the px.

The front wheel stance is wider, the seat is better, don稚 like the tier4 engine emissions crap (no choice nowadays), much more 3 point capacity.

I prefer the dual fuel tanks on my DK as they are farther off the ground and therefore better protected, although the single tank gives room on the other side for a toolbox (I use a feed bucket that fits perfectly inside the steps on the off side as part of my toolbox-greasegun, oiler can, spare grease, spare oil, rags, etc. The actual tools are in a decent Kluny leather bag in the cab. Somewhat inconvenient, but not too bad.

13The new px痴 have considerably more hydraulic flow than the DK痴.

Overall, I made a good buy. This little Kioti replaced a fwa Deutz 7110, which was also a good tractor.

I would say that Kioti addressed all of the minor shortcomings of the DK in the production of the Doosan Px痴 to make a fine haying/chore tractor.

The only thing I don稚 like is the tier4 BS.

I would buy another Kioti.

Ps, the neighbor bought a new holland t115 or something like that last season. His son in law likes my Kioti better..

I would not say it a off brand ,they have been in business for over 70 yrs and in the US for 30.kioti equals value and quality . Good luck

Of course they are an off brand, especially in their larger models. I took a chance and I am perfectly happy so far.

There are 3 real brands of tractors in NA (tractors that real farmers would normally consider). Kubota isn稚 in this group either.

All of the others are off brands.

I looked that the TYM equivalent and they seem very similar …. whats the story on these two? I see the Kioti has a clutch button on the stick though where as TYM doesn't I also am looking for another haying tractor for a while now. Saw these a few years ago sure the smaller ones are real popular it seems but don't see a lot of the 100hp + ones around yet. Does the Kioti have the 3 speed PTO option in it like the TYM's Would be nice to use the economy 540 mode (750rpm) for light haying jobs and have the engine running 1600 or what ever rpm instead of over 2000 etc.

The TYM is a component tractor I think.

The Kioti is almost entirely made by Kioti

For what that痴 worth (quite a bit in my mind).

My DK doesn稚 have economy pto or hi-lo on the shifter. Those two features would be nice for haying. Idk about the 1153 on the economy pto, but it does have hi-lo.

Based on my DK and knowing most of the pertinent upgrades on the 1153, my guess it that the 1153 compares favourably straight across with almost anything in that market.

So far, I like my DK quite a bit..

Well had a chance today to look at a Brand New 1153 at the dealer. Real nice well built tractor but the way it was ordered they wanted 95K for it they say. Not sure why its 25K more that the one TYM sells the same hp. Yes maybe the Kioti is finished nicer with a clutch button on the stick, higher gpm hydraulics, 500lbs heavier and maybe has bigger tires and such but quite the spread in price! As it turns out the Kioti loader doesn't even lift as high as my Belarus 825 I want it to replace!!! My old Belarus lifts 10" higher and its not quite high enough as it is. Plus I don't think the 1153 is any heavier then my 80 pto hp Belarus which a bit on the light side for the loader attachment i use on it.
