Tractor
LS G3038, stihl fs90, stihl ms290, snapper riding mower, Honda gcv160, Yamaha g9 golf cart
My family inherited a 25 Acre farm. I'm looking for a tractor I have 9 acres that need to be bush hogged month then ground is level except 1 really steep hill that the house is on. I need to plow the garden. I need to regrade a 1/3 mile gravel road. I need to hall firewood and gravel. I need to Aug a new fence.

I have a limited budget I was thinking about the L's g3033 with fel. I know nothing about tractors at all. I've been looking in the used market for a couple months (Craig's list' &farmers Billiton) found a JD 750 but I'm positive its to small.

Local ls dealer quoted me 15500 for the 2012 g3033 with fel 5 year warranty. Thing is my credit is bad. I have 12k left over after house renovations and I'd like to try and getaway with 5k down on the tractor but idk if they'll even finance me

Do y'all think this tractor can do what I need it to, any feedback is greatly appreciated

I don't know if I can answer your question related to your credit, and whether or not you can get financed. But keep in mind that if LS won't finance you directly, there are other options. If nothing else, try your local credit union. The rate might be higher, but they can probably finance you. Every credit score issue is different from one person to another, so there's no way anybody could help you with that one unless someone here is a banker.

I would look at the G3038 instead of the 3033, for that much property, the extra couple horsepower might come in handy, especially when you are engaging the ground doing plow or grading work. It will also, in theory, allow you to use one foot larger implements. I don't think the cost will be that much different either.

Good luck!

I have a large retirement account I'm going to talk to the dealer tomorrow and see if that'll help me get approved for financing. I can't justify taking the money out to buy the tractor outright

Honestly, I would suggest you bump up to the R3039..... Its about 2-3k more, but well worth the extra $$...

You could try Farm Credit East... They were able to help me out with my less than stellar credit.

I understand the recommendation to go up to the 3038 or 3039, but I have the 3033 with the FEL and backhoe. I also bought a tiller and 6ft blade. I'm looking at picking up PTO Generator next. I would really recommend the 3033. I grade 8/10 to 9/10 of a mile road with out a problem. It runs my 6ft tiller like a champ. I did make 1 small tweak to the tiller. The PTO shaft was to long and I couldn't get the tiller level. I cut a couple of inches off and it works great. I had the pond dredged by an excavator to remove cat tails and used my FEL to move all of the muck and mud around to other areas. I have moved grave and logs around. The minor issue is sometimes I fill up the FEL with wet gravel or mud and it's to heavy when driving. The FEL will lift more weight then the weight of the tractor and I bounce all over the place while driving ;).

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks I stopped by the local L's dealer, the shop had 6 L's tractors on display, I got quoted 13800 for 33 and 14800 for 38 I'm leaning twords the 38. IMO I'd rather have the extra HP than not and need it. Those prices where without haggling at all. The guy was super nice answered my million questions. He may work with me a little more I'm sure-

WOW! at that price, I might have gone for the 38 as well. But I got a package deal to get the FEL and the backhoe. Either way, I think you will be happy.

Called the bigger L's dealer about 45 min away, quoted me 16300 for 38 shuttle. Told him the local dealer quoted me 14800 and he said to jump on it , that it was a great deal
