YM2020
hi all! I am thinking about trading up from a 1700 to a 2820. Does anyone own a 2820 who could give me some plusses and minusses if any to owning the 2820? Are parts as readily available for the 2820 as they are for the 1700?
Thanks

Brian

Hi,
I am a YANMAR dealer in Wisconsin, www.northwoodstractor.com . There are parts available for the YM2820...however, you will find many more parts available for the YM1700. The 20 series is a popular series...however when you get up in the 28 PTO HP size range you start to see a reduced parts supply. I know there are some out there....but you are much more likely to find parts for a YM1720, YM1820 or YM2020 than a YM2820. I am sure you could find any parts you need...it just may take a little longer. The parts issue is really not much of an issue in most cases with YANMARS, I can tell you it is much more difficult to get certain parts for a model 1700 FORD than it is to get most YANMAR parts. I can also tell you that you will absolutely love the powershift on the column that the YM2820 has.

Make the change...you will love the tractor...Another option is the JINMA 254 (I sell these also) I know the J word may be a swear word on this forum...but the quality has increased dramatically and the price is right there with a used Yanmar.
