I really enjoy my 2320 but I no longer need the mid mount mower but could stand to have a little more lifting capacity on the loader. Has anyone owned both models to let me know if it was a significant jump or not worth doing?

Looking at tractor data, there is a significant difference (up) with pump psi and flow. As well as tractor weight to handle the higher numbers.

You should get a very good selling/trade-in price as the 2320 is pre-Tier IV.

That's kind of why Ive hesitated to do anything. I realize its not a valid reason, but I like the hood/headlights better on my current tractor than the look of the new models and I really don't want to deal with the emissions crap as well. Basically its 10 years old so Im getting bored with it and trying to convince myself that I need something else lol

I have owned three tractors. The first a 1,900 pound subcompact Deere 750 "learner" without a Loader. The second a new 2,200 pound tractor-loader package. The third, my 3,700 pound Kubota L3560, is tractor nirvana in my north Florida conditions.

Had I early read a thread philosophizing on tractor weight it would have stimulated tractor weight research and I would have omitted purchase of tractor #2, which proved too light for my applications. Instead, i purchased tractor #2 seduced by the allure of increased horsepower and the Loader.

The fundamental importance of TRACTOR WEIGHT eludes many tractor shoppers. Heavier tractor weight is more important for most tractor applications than increased tractor horsepower. Bare tractor weight is a tractor specification easily found in sales brochures and web sites, readily comparable across tractor brands and tractor models, new and used.

Within subcompact and compact tractor categories, a significant tractor capability increase requires a bare tractor weight increase of 50%. It takes a 100% increase in bare tractor weight to elicit MY-OH-MY!

When considering a tractor purchase, bare tractor weight first, tractor horsepower second and (narrowly) rear wheel ballast third. (Usually, but sometimes not.)

Every tractor brand includes a model in the 2,600 pound to 2,900 pound (bare tractor) range with 100 cubic inch/24 horsepower high torque engine. Tractors under 19 kW ( 19 KW = 25.4794-horsepower) are presently exempt from stringent Tier IV emission controls which abruptly increase a tractor's cost some $2,000 above the 19 kW power demarcation.

In Kubota's lineup this is the Model L2501.

L2501 FEL = 1,130 pounds lift capacity.

I am not pushing Kubota especially but Kubota is what I own and most of my tractor hours have been logged on two Kubotas.
