Third Function Valve for Older JD145 FEL

I have a grapple that I would like to use on the front of my JD145 FEL mounted on a JD 1520 tractor. The controls are manual, two lever control valves and the 1520 is a closed center hydraulic system and 10.5 gpm flow. I am a rookie when it comes to this stuff. Would like to know if it is possible to add another lever/valve to this setup or convert to a three valve system that has the third valve built in? There is not that much extra room under the mounting plate/assembly for an additional separate individual (third) valve, but it would be cheaper. Need a little help on hooking it up, diagram/website/etc. Thanks in advance.

If your tractor has a CC hyd system, then you need valves set up for CC.

You can use that valve with a CC adapter.

You would mount the valve in parrallel with the other valves.

If the new valve has a relief valve, then set it higher that the unloader valve or pump relief valve.

That valve you posted can be an open center valve, or a PB valve, or a closed center.

The closed center plug is just that, it blocks the flow of the pump.

If your tractor is a CC type hyd system, all the other valves are configured as a CC valve.

Since the new valve has a relief valve, you need to set it above the implement pump pressure, and that will set the pressure for the CC system.

This sleeve will convert the valve to PB, and then to make it CC, just set it up with instructions including with the valve.
