John Deere 5095M
Also posted this in the hydraulics forum because was not sure if it belonged under attachments or hydraulics...

We run a JD5095M. General mowing, road maintenance, firewood hauling, snow plowing, moving stuff around.
Whatever needs done to maintain the place.
Have a number of attachments, and all of them only use one or two sets of rear hydraulics.
Looking at a grading blade with tilt, angle and offset functions. Trying to figure out if it would be worthwhile
to add a third hydraulic hook up on the rear, use a diverter or just keep one function manual.

Question... how many rear, tractor attachments require three sets of hydraulic lines? Can't think of any and
would likely only add the third set if there were also another use for it.

On my JD 3320 I have 3 sets on the rear, two for the 3pt hitch top n tilt cylinders and the third plugged into hoses running up to the loader for my grapple. The grapple hoses can be unplugged quickly if I ever need a 3rd function at the rear.

 I did something similar on my Mahindra 3616, but only added 2 rear remotes. :(

I am ordering a new Kioti NX next week and it will have 3 rear remotes and 3rd function kit to solve that problem.

Have three on mine for top/tilt and side shift flail mower. Thinking of getting a grapple, also a back blade with cylinder so the third function will come in handy for both of them as all I will need are hoses.

I have 3 on mine plus 3rd function for a grappling. I plan on adding top/tilt and side tilt for a box blade. I’m not sure what use the 3rd one would be.

4570man. Your post has me confused. Top and tilt takes two functions, the third function would be for anything else needing hydraulics and lever control, right? Anyway, that is how mine is setup, three levers for three cylinders.

Mine has 3 levers. I guess if you had hydraulic rippers on a blade you could use the 3rd set. Mine doesn’t. I can’t think of anything else that would need 3 sets.

Is your to be hydraulic rear blade your only attachment that needs to be adjusted? If you put a top & tilt set on the tractor, you then have front-back and left right tilt capabilities for every implement that you use. Get the rear blade with hydraulic actuation for blade angle and offset and now you need 4 separate sets of outlets. You won't need the blade tilt capabilities to be hydraulic because you can do that with the top & tilt set for the 3pt hitch.

I have 5 sets of rear remotes on my larger utility tractor and 4 sets on my smaller (clean-up tractor).

Put a triple diverter set on your tractor and you should be set for pretty much everything.

I've had a couple of customers that needed 6 sets of rear outlets to be able to operate what they had, one of them even had a 3rd and 4th function for his loader for a total of 10 separate  sets on his tractor.

MY third function is used for moving the flail mower left or right off center and for mowing along fences etc. I can also run long hoses up front for a grapple if getting one. Thirds can also operate a back blade if it has a cylinder for angling the blade..I could do it all with two functions but having the third just makes things easier so more the merrier I guess.
