Kubota Grand L 5740, loaded R1's w/640 lbs cast weight, 854 loader
But there is a purpose behind my madness.

Loaded up to go do one job. It involves shredding, mowing, edging trimming, blowing away the leavin's. Whew.
The purpose?
I can't get everything on one trailer. I'm pushing wifey to let me get another trailer. I'm wanting a 26-28 foot 14K car hauler. that way I can put everything on one trailer.
Riding mower, walk behind, my edgers and trimmers, my tractor and shredder, etc.
As it is I have the tractor and shredder on a 20' car hauler. It's a 7K trailer. My L3240 with a tiller and loaded tires on this trailer grossed 8980 pounds. A bit overloaded. I don't know what this rig weighs, I've never weighed it but it's a L5740 with loaded tires and 640 pounds of cast weight and a shredder that weighs substantially more than the tiller.
I have my John Deere riding mower on the little trailer along with the mower and my edgers and trimmers. I pulls nice but it's a pain to load and unload. Gotta hook up, unhook, hook up, unhook...well you get the idea.
The job itself is a sweet deal. $650 for 4.5 to 5 hours of work. It's hard work but it pays well.
Anyway, just thought I'd show y'all this and don't get on my case because the rops is gone. I got tired of it being in my way in 90% of the jobs I do so I took it off. :D

That is a neat setup. Now the 64 thousand dollar question is: Can you back it all up, hooked together?

You're pulling a tandem?!?!?
Dude! That's impressive - especially if you can back it up.
I don't think I could and I had a 101 license, back in the day.
You made your point, you need that bigger trailer.

Ok. I won't get on your case for taking of the ROPs. I'd take the seatbelt out. You will have a better chance of getting away from crushing yourself if it goes over. See , that isn't getting on your case, it's trying to give you a fighting chance...

Pulled double 28' trailer for years. The secret is to set up the back properly. I have seen guys put the back box to a dock. I could only hit a drop spot in the yard. Not enough patience. After a while, I just got out and unhooked.

Wow! The lay flat trailer is a neat setup. I figure any new trailer is a ways down the road for me. Funds are thin right now if you know what I mean. Maybe by the end of this mowing/shredding season I can upgrade my trailer. Yes I can actually back it a bit. I only had to go about 40 feet and I went real slow. It's not really too hard but the problem is seeing the little trailer. It ain't wide enough. As far as putting the mowers under the bucket, the John Deere won't fit. 6 more feet of length and double the carrying capacity will make a world of difference.

Not with 2 trailers, but I have a similar problem with my small trailer. After years of pulling it behind a small truck, I find it disappears behind my 1 ton van.

What worked for me are those low cost bicycle flags. I tie wrapped the metal sockets that come with those to the back corners of my small box trailer. When I get somewhere, I drop the flags into the sockets for backing up, then take them off before I leave again. Low cost, and I found 'em helpful with my trailer.
