After reading a multi page thread, in Order to go back to the original forum, I have been just backing up page by page by page to get back out.
Is there a better way to get back to the opening forum that I haven’t figured out yet?

Can’t you just press the < sign with a line underneath. It should take you to the beginning of the thread. The > sign with a line underneath takes you to the most current post.

Maybe I’m not understanding your question.

I always open it in a new tab.
And changed Settings for Posts per page to 50.

Also, in the upper left corner of the browser there is a back arrow. Hold this down and you'll get a list of sequential pages that you've visited in order. Select one of those and you can jump several (or all) pages at once.
