The other day my wife was driving by our Kubota dealer and saw a fellow in protest. She said he had a pickup and trailer with a small kabota tractor. He was parked across the street from the dealer. He had large signs on the side and rear of the trailer the said: "KUBOTA JUNK"

I gues maybe he was an unhappy customer.

I see that my post has been viewed but no comments. I guess the point I saw was that it is not everyday that someone does this at a kubota dealer or other place of business. It was pretty odd. I am buying a use L2500 today and will be doing business at this dealer. I do not feel that the product or dealer is bad at all. In fact I can not wait to go pick her up!

Happy tractoring!

I saw a guy do that with a new pickup truck once. I don't think he ended up being there too long. Of course I wouldn't pass judgement unless I know the entire story. I worked in retail for a while and was astonished what people expect you to do for them./w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Sometimes it takes more than 45 minutes.

Without knowing more details, it's hard to say what was up with that guy and his tractor. He does sound like an unhappy customer, but since few believe that Kubota is junk, I'm guessing it's more of a problem between him and the dealer. It would be interesting to know.

I bought my L2500 used, too. Can't imagine getting better bang for the buck. Next time you talk to the dealer, see if you can find out more about the disgruntled gent.

Many, many years ago, I saw a nearly new Dodge with some very good artwork; about 12" lemons painted all over it, and parked at the curb across the street from a Dodge dealer in Dallas - the dealer I bought two Dodges from (way before there was any such thing as lemon laws)./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Let's see, assuming it took him about a minute to compose the second message, I still maintain that the reaction time was closer to 45 minutes.

Last week in Green Bay WI a customer at a computer store brought back his computor for the last time for repairs. He stopped and dropped it inside the front door, went back to his car and brought back a sledge and proceeded to smash it to pieces. He was later arrested for disorderly or something. I guess the store couldn't fix the computer after several attempts.

Many years ago when I was in college I took my Jeep to a local mechanics garage to have the points replaced. I know, I know, but I didn't have any tools.

Anyway, when I called to see if it was done, it was, and they told me the bill was $120. This was back in the early 70's mind you and that was a lot of money to replace points. It seems they just went ahead and replace the fan belt and several things, "becaused it needed done." I was p*ssed! I told them I hadn't asked for that but they refused to adjust the bill. I told them I would pay the bill but that I was reporting them to the local better business bureau and the states attorney for fraud.

They refused to give me my Jeep! They said they wouldn't release it to me until the issue was resolved with the States Attorney. Given the somewhat radical times a couple of friends and I decided to picket the business. This was the times during the "Hostage Crisis" and you guessed it. One of my more clever buddies made his sign..."Jeep Held Hostage!" It only took about 10 minutes for me to get my jeep back and only paid for the points being replaced.

Not all business owners are ethical.
