Branson (kukje) 4020, 40hp turbo
Hi all, long time since I posted last. Just wanted to say happy New Year to all you Kukje tractor owners. Well, my 4020 is 3 yrs old now. Still doing every thing I ask of it. I must say one of my better decisions. I wish you all many hours of happy tractoring. Oh yeah, attaching a recent picture of me and the branny. Sometimes the bucket is full of fish, and other times.....

best wishes to all... sassafraspete

Hi Egon,

Top of the morning to you too Egon. If your weather up in the northwoods is anything like here, I imagine you are sitting around with your shorts, and sunglasses on...sipping a bubbly. The beginning of a new year is a good time to remember old friends. There sure are some dandy people that visit this site. I guess I have not had as much free time this past year, and also have had to tend to competing passions, like guns, hunting , fishing , woodworking, gardening....and the list goes on.

The deer ran into the end of my muzzleloader, and then actually ran 100 yrds across a farmer neighbor's field into a creek. Luckily, the creek which is about 40 ft wide has a sandstone gravel bottom, and the farmer keeps it cleaned with bulldozer etc. I had to drive the branson about 100 yrds thru the creek to retrieve the deer. Due to the farmer's work, there were no deep pot holes...just 8-12 inches of water. I did scoop this one up out of the water....no dragging (just had to slide it in). That's the reason this one isn't field dressed in the picture...I just retrieved it out of the water and got it home when this picture was snapped. This week I have been turning my attention to fishing. With all the warm weather here, was able to get out in the boat and managed to haul in around 70 .. mostly bluegills, and a few crappie this week.

As for the garden, it was a pretty good yr. Had to get serious about fencing though, and was able to keep the deer out...however had a serious rabbit problem. I was ok with them eating a few beans, but when they started cutting the limbs on my newly established blueberry patch, well, me and the rabbits had to come to an understanding. Got some pink lady apple trees on order for the spring planting.

Hope your cummins is still running. You need to trade it in for a new 6.7 this yr.

Pete, that cumin's only has 180,000 kilometers on it. The rings are just starting to seat. Any ways, on poverty 55 thoughts of new purchases are limited to nickel and dime stuff or new socks.:D

That hobby garden of yours would be full time work for many people!:D

For those that do not know Pete has a garden of a size that requires a map to find your way around.

-5 C, overcast with a skiff of light day old snow on the ground. Rain predicted in several days.

Nice looking buck, a 13 point?? What was its weight, seems bigger in size than the ones we grow here in Pa? My neighbor (female) shot a 13 point out of our buck hut but it doesn't look nearly as big as the one you shot with the muzzleloader. Congratulations.
