It would cost me a fortune! I drive 25,000+ miles/40,000km+ plus a year. I use it like a truck and work it. So I would have to pay bigtime upon return.

Well, if you go to the ford.ca website, it seems that you pay an extra $34 per month to add an extra 5,000 km per year to the basic 20,000 km/yr. lease payment (which I did, because 25,000 km./yr. was enough for me). So, in your case, if you asked for an extra 20,000 km/yr. to bring your goal up to 40,000 km./yr., this would seem to add $34 x 4 = $136/mo. to your lease payment, or about $3,264 extra over the 24 month lease period. And this would be the worst-case scenario, since the website always quotes prices that are much higher than the deal you actually get from the dealer (due to the very high discounts that you end up with at the end of the day).

Only one issue to date, a $75 heater/AC blower resistor last summer.

No thanks. Id rather finance with a higher payment. I keep my vehicles 10 years or 400,000km, which ever comes first.

The reason IMHO folks lease they cannot afford a the monthly payments on a purchase buy.When looking to buy a 2016 ford F150 my sales person asked me about a lease verses a buy.The sales person told me most folks lease verses buy they also stated the average buy monthly payment was $600-$950.What the **** you are kidding me?Scary chit..

I'd rather pay $600/month and pay it off sooner and be payment free for 3 or 4 years than be making payments all the time.

Also, I dont need/want another loaded truck. Last one was an SLT, and I rarely used most of the gadgets. My current truck is an SL (next lever above a work truck.)

Seems every truck leaving the lot is loaded.

Also, every truck that leaves the lot seems to be loaded. After having one loaded (SLT) to the moon, and my current one just one level above a work truck (SL) , I much prefer the SL.
