JD 4410
THE GOOD
I'm very pleased overall with the operation of this tractor, it has done everything I ask of it and makes it look easy. I have let a wide range of friends drive it, from farmers to other compact owners and they all are impressed with the handling and power this tractor has.

THE NOT SO GOOD
I ordered the oversize R4 tires and it was shipped with mis-matched rear tires. Left tire is abot 2.5' taller than right and not the same tread. JD/Titan is replaceing both rear tires so all is good.

They do not have valve stem protectors on the wheels, I had a small stick bend the front brass valve stem enough to deflate the tire while chopping along the edge of a corn field. I bent the stem back and it is holding air but I also picked up some spares at the dealer for when this happens again.

The sway links can be mean to get set at times. The horizonal bars may be better?

THINGS WOULD HAVE PAID FOR IF JD OFFERED THEM
Telescopic steering wheel
Better tilt adjustment on 3pt

This didn't happen to be a sidehill model???
I demo'ed a 4410 but ended up w/lot better for Blue.

Gettin' back to the basics... How did anyone not notice the fact that one side of the tractor was higher than the other and with a different tread to beat all!!! ;)

I'm thinking of the line of folks who even if not formally inspecting it, should have had red flags going up in their mind.

Final inspector, guy who loads the truck up at the Deere factory in Augusta, truck driver who unloads it at the Dealer. (With different tread at different heights, that ride off the truck must have had an interesting feel to it)The dealer after he does all the prep work???

I could see how a missing bolt might sneak through, but tires that are different sizes and treads? Kind of makes you wonder about the stuff you can't see :)

I'm glad to hear that overall you are happy with it. I'm taking delivery of my 4310 next week. I'll keep my eye out for any mysterious tilting. That might be the real good reason for getting a tiltmeter :)
Wishing you much enjoyment on your new tractor. Let's see some pictures too!

We now have 75.4 hrs on the 4410 and it is a great little tractor, very pleased so far. Now to clear up the tire issue it was 2.5 inch's not feet so the real differance on the way the tractor sits is 1.25'' the tread is still R-4 but one tire has a little ridge around the outside of the lug about 1/8 inch tall and 1/8 inch wide. They tell me that Titan ships the tires to Deere in matched pairs, my dealer now has a 4310 with stock size tires on the lot with the same mis-match. I caught the JD zone rep at the dealership and gave him a good talking to about the sway bars, I now have the new style sway bars and they are 100 times better than the vertical links.
Some people ?? a blue tractor and a V-8 diesel pickup, got to feel sorry for them.
Just kidding I like the blue tractors, looked at them very hard but do not have a dealer close. My JD salesman goes by our house every night and will drop parts off on the way home. We have always had good luck with the JD equipment and also both of my grandfathers had some ford tractors, one had a whole fleet of the smaller tractors 1-8n, 1-9n, 1-801, 2-861's, 1-3000, 1-4000 that he farmed about 600 acres with in the 70's. Better not say anything about the V-8 diesel pickup's it's your money.
