Just curious as to what the opinions are on Bobcat.Tractors! Who has owned one and the pros and cons.? I'm interested in a smaller size....under 40 hp.

I own a 50 hp 773 about a 2001 model with 3600 hrs on it. I used this same model at work yrs ago and jumped on the chance to own one when my friend was updating his business.
It's been trouble free aside from a battery and a hose. I also have a 50 hp tractor. I can do whatever is needed between the tractor, the bobcat, and the forklift. The Bobcat and the Kubota share attachments, which is a plus. I did end up putting cameras on the rear of the Bobcat, which improved usability. The Bobcat is built tough and should serve you well.

That new Kioti subcompact with A/C and backhoe looks interesting.

Bobcat tractors are Kioti tractors painted white.

Some even get their own special hood! Really though, the tractors are built by Daedong, but they're not exact as Bobcat uses different attachments. I don't know if they build their own loaders and backhoes, or if they have a different supplier, but a Kioti will outlift the equivalent Bobcat.

Just consider that Bobcat left the market once before, and they're looking to eventually build their own tractors- so, personally, I went for a Kioti. That said, the white looks sharp.

I recently decided it was time for a new tractor. Test rode a Bobcat CT2035 MST and a Kubota 3901-DT which was the size range I was shopping for (35-40hp) at the same local dealer.

The Kubota was nice and had a shuttle shift for back and forth loader work and the loader hydraulics were a bit smoother. I also have little doubt that both the paint prep and paint itself is better on the Kubota. I've owned Kubotas in the past and their gear drive units are basically indestructible.

After testing both units I had the dealer work up an out the door cash price on both so I could make a final decision. With both units priced with FEL, industrial tires and a 7' blade the Kubota came in several THOUSANDS of dollars more. As in I could have added a Backhoe to the Bobcat for what the price difference was. That's nuts.

I bought the Bobcat and paid $22,247 out the door with FEL, rear tires fluid filled, and the Befco 7' scraper blade. No regrets.
