Just looking for input as I am looking into buying a kubota bx 2350-2370 for my one acre of vegetables. I plan on using it to plow, harrow, till and mow cover crops. It needs to fit within my 30-40" raised bed and 18" pathway system. Ideally I would like to spend $10,000 or under on a used one with low hours.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!

For work on flat land (and not primarily mowing) I would rather have a small B model instead of a BX. The BX has a low, vulnerable bottom. The smaller B models are almost the same size and price but with taller tires.

I love my Kubota BX... only regret was not buying one sooner.

If I could only keep one tractor... it would by my BX.

They do hold resale value so after looking and not finding I decided to concentrate getting the best deal new.

Implement will add to the cost.

Have you had the opportunity to sit behind the wheel or know anyone where you can see one in action?

One of the great aspects for mowing is the low ground clearance which can also be a shortcoming if you are working rough terrain or in the woods a lot.

I did add a belly pan to protect the vulnerable underside.

One thing to check when buying used is to make sure the hydro fan is intact.... it is underneath and it only takes a twig in the wrong spot to destroy.

Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking of mowing with a flail mower implement, not sure how that affects which tractor is better suited.

I was thinking bx instead of b because of cost. Are they that similar in price? What should I be expecting to pay for one in good condition with under 500 hours?

Several of us have owned both BXs and Bs and done comparison reports between the two models.
I started with a BX as my first tractor and went up to Bs and even an L and now back to a BX.
The BX is a SubCompactUtilityTractor SCUT and the B is a CompactUtilityTractor CUT. The BX is smaller and thus closer to the ground by a few inches which is a problem on really rough ground. The BX hangs tighter or seems to on hillsides.
The price difference isn't that big. The Mid mount mower, front end loader and back hoe add several thousand dollars to their price. I have a bX25D now which comes with a FEL and BH but no MMM as do the BX23, BX24 and BX25 so their price is higher.
A rear finish mower is cheaper and better (in my opinion) than a MMM.
You can get a new BX or B for under $10000 without FEL and MMM. I wouldn't want one with out FEL and never want another gear drive tractor (HST only for me).
BPflick and I both did a comparison reports here with some great info added from other contributors. Do the search on his and mine to find them. I had a B3200 and BX2660 at the same time and did a review on them sitting side by side. BP owned a BX traded to a B and then back to a BX. Maybe someone will find and bump those reviews.
