thoughts on oil-spitting 1920?

The guy I bought it from has a decent rep as a tractor dealer. He said he uses rotella in his diesels...but sure, I know I should have done it myself by now. Seems like time is a hard thing to find the past few years....
About the temp gauge - it moves off 0 (I have a habit of exageration), but gets nowhere near vertical like when mowing heavy stuff for hours.

I wonder if the 1920 has the same cooling bypass thing that keeps the engine cold until you put the shutoff inline that my 2120 has. I used to have a link to the thread that showed the fix, but lost it. I'm sure one of you organized people have it.
