Thoughts on your G2160?

Could anyone give me their thoughts on the new G2160 garden tractor?

Any idea what the list price is on this mower?

I assume it is a Kubota 21hp 60in cut, deisel garden tractor. If that is the one it is a catalac of a mower. Similar to the higher end JD 300s. Buy it and smile for your next 20+ years of mowing.

I have the G2160-R48S which is the direct shoot bag. I have owned the machine for 2 years and have been happy with it. If I can remember, I think I paid between $8,000 and $9,000 for the mower. The Direct Shoot is a 14 bushell hydraulic mounted rear container for clippings. I can mow 3-4 acres in 4 hours with it.

Kubota makes a great product regardless of what it is. I recently bought a B series. IMO, the garden tractors are way overpriced. I realize that they will probably last a lifetime and all that... but $8-9k for a GT?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I saw an ad in the paper for a new BX1500 for $6600 by a local Kubota dealer. Granted that doesn't include a mower deck, but heck, thats a tractor that has a lot more capabilities than a GT. In the GT market I think Cub Cadet wins hands down.
