My dad can start his easy start 180 lot easier then the new spring assisted echo 3510. These you have to pull all the way out to do.
The best easy start I ever seen was on the stihl 250. You can pull it a inch at a time to wind it up and once you got it would it spins to start it.
Never having to pull it all the way out that way.
DO NOY jerk these saws like normal saws you will bust up recoils.
Pretty sure stihl still uses that system on the saws that replaced the 180 and 250. Just the saws are not as dependable.
I just pas tup a stihl 250 easy start in my group for 150 plus ship.
As I am going to try and put a big D ring on dad new echo to see if it helps him.
He in later 80's, fought cancer in past so weaker, bad hand and should. But still a worker.
I know when I am down there with him I just start the saws and hand him one as we cut up in the hills.
Stihl 250 IPL to show that neat deal.
