Got home from work, weather was good, hit the tree fields full throttle with the jacto cannon sprayer.

Three hours, 15 acres. Not bad for 40hp tractor

You must love your jacto. 7500 trees took me 11 hours with a wand sprayer.

Spraying for white pine weevils. They become active early and and destroy the top leader of the spruce by laying there eggs in the cambium layer of the bark. Also for adelgids. Another tree foliage killer.

Love the jacto. Spraying 50 foot swaths at a time you cover alot of acres😁

I'm battling mites and rhabdocline.

All our Blue Spruce is getting whacked by needle cast. I only have about 40 more to cut out and burn.

Awesome Photos! Love "Northmost" Idaho!

What size hopper/tank does that sprayer have?

The jacto has a 120 gal tank and can blast very close to straight up also. The cannon tube adjusts all over the place. (y)
We have some rysoferia, spelled how it sounds not correctly, another form of needle cast. Spray for that later.

The jacto makes it all possible!!

I used to spray for pine weevil but it never worked for me. I treat the roots every fall and that has worked out for me. Those weevils can take two years of growth in 3 months.

I like that sprayer.

How do you treat the roots PCABE5?? I am curious....

The jacto is one of our main weapons in the battle for top quality stock. It is simple, easy to use and minimum 25hp to run IIRC.

We used an ag-tec sprayer for years. Had a deal worked out with another nursery that I got the Sprayer ready to go for the season, in trade I got to use the sprayer and I had sprayed for them on occation to boot. The deal worked out real good for a long time till we could buy our own cannon sprayer.

That ag-tec is large and heavy, hangs way off the back of the tractor compared to the jacto. The ag-tec had all electric direction controls which I did like.... But no where the range of motion for the cannon like the jacto does.

I use imidacloprid insecticide placed at the roots that the tree sucks up and lasts about a year. I'll treat in September or October and the trees are protected come spring. I haven't had a problem in years after I switched but maybe I wasn't using the right spray.
