I thought these pictures may be interesting to you guys. My mom down in Florida sent me these pictures of this morning's delivery of three (3) new Rhino FL20 Flexwing mowers to my dad's mowing business.

They buy them unpreped (in case you are wondering about some missing tires, etc.).

with a set up like this, I could do our 16 acre field in two hours or so. Does your Dad do hire out and do along the interstates or local farms?

He is under contract with the City of Cape Coral, FL to cut vacant lots 6 times per year.

Cape Coral, FL is the second largest city in land area next to Jacksonville. It has a population of about 120,000 currently. There are 400 miles of canals, 3,200 miles of paved streets and 85,000 vacant home sites (but each one is owned by someone) and these lots need to be maintained. The city bills each lot owner for maintenance on each vacant piece of property. The City contracts out this maintenance to private industry. My father is 1 of 3 contractors doing this type of work in Cape Coral. They have been doing this for over 17 years now.

good for your Dad.. My friend and I left (retired more or less) from running a small town highway dpt. For a year we thought about buying and operating a flail side cutter. Upfront costs is more than enormous, to say the least.. In the end, he bid off because of social security. In any case I had to replace an old, old Ford 5000 that met the end of its career and that is why it was replaced by a Mahindra. I couldn't do the flail cutting myself and had to have another involved. I'd hate to tell you what the guy now doing it, gets from each town highway, just to cut sides of roads..He too, has more than one helping, the figures can be scary when you think about it..

Good looking mowers.
How many horses does he need to pull one of these bad boys.

Also do these guys hold up well to heavy brush? In other words are these medium, light, or heavy duty.
