I am sure there is a lot of different methods use to change attachments on the three point hitch. I have not changed attachments much but there must be an easier way than just man handle the attachment. In other words what is the best way to release an attachment and installing another attachment using the three point hitch? Such as finish mower to rear blade, rear blade to finishmower. i am just not as much of a man as i use to be. Age is nice and i do not like the altertanive to getting old and weak. [/list]

Make sure you are on level ground if possible, and practice will make it easier. I know when I first got my tractor it took me a good hour to disconnect the finish mower and hook up the brush hog /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif now with a little luck I do it in about 10 minutes.

When my tractor was delivered, the swivels (balls) on the end of the lift arms were caked with I guess cosmoline. I used wd-40 and a bar to rotate them to clean the cosmoline off. After that, I coated them with lubri plate to lube them and help keep rust down. I clean them every so often and recoat them. It really helps the holes line up.

There are several quick hitch conversions which do not require modification of the implement which is not Cat 1 compliant. Search for Freedom Hitch or Delta Hitch for a starting place. Unfortunately, currently, anything with a PTO will still require dismounting to attach the PTO. Deere has obtained patent rights to a quick hitch incorporating a PTO, but current design is deemed too expensive for production. If money is no object, live every TBN'ers dream. A new tractor for every implement! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There is quick hitch kits for your 3 point hitch. There is a couple of different brands out there and I really know nothing about them to give you any advice. Some others here should be able to give you some insight on them.

My TC29D came with extendable links that does make it easier. Alls you have to do is back up to the implement and pull the arms out to reach the implement. I also can adjust the width of my 3 point hitch. All in all in works ok for me, but I still would look at the quick hitch devices if you do a lot of changing.
