I was auguring some post holes yesterday with my GC2610 and my three point wouldn't lift up after a 12' hole about 3 1/2 feet deep. The auger wasn't stuck. We unbolted it from the shaft and then lifted the auger out of the hole. The frame was easily lifted by hand and secured to the roll over bar and secured to travel. You can hear the hydraulic pump activating the over pressure valve and the front end loader seems to work fine. I don't know exactly where or what to look for and would welcome some suggestions.

Did you accidentally activate an auxilliary valve circuit? My remote outlets have a detent position and if in detent with nothing hooked to the outlets, pressure is deadheaded (hissing sound) and the 3-point won't work.

When that happened, did your loader work? I haven't added any extra hydraulics to my tractor and will double check all other controls.

My cutter wouldn't lift up once. It end up being a quick connect on the loader. Rehooked it and all was well.

We once had a vibratory plow with several quick connects. The violent shaking destroyed each one.

this have (like the GC24xx series) a rod on right side behind rear tire with spring blocks on each end that travels with lift arm? if spring is sticking on rod it will stop the lift on GC24xx.

I'm not sure if the loader worked or not. Im using the tractor right now(on break) and I'll check.

I don't understand the purpose of that rod and springs.. The stops on that spring appear to be secured in place with a space between them that appears to be just a bit longer than on a friend's GC2400. I'm busy for the next few days but my next step is to try to determine how that rod should be adjusted.

first make sure rod/trunnion clean and spray lubed then with 3pt down click lift lever back while watching trunnion come against spring. when it compresses spring on back side it clicks lever from lift to neutral.
when lowered it clicks from lower to neutral. you want full float on 3pt? make sure front spring never compresses. push lever fwd and it stays there, handy for tilling in undulating ground.
if this is sticking it can cause it to feel like lift lever is fully in lift position, as in hard to move rearward more, and system makes odd noises.
not saying thats your issue but to check/correct takes 5 minutes with shop air and wd40.

attached is service manual page from GC2400 for that linkage.

So I checked how my remote lever works with the 3 point.

When the remote lever is in neutral or "float" the 3 point lifts and lowers normally.

When the remote lever is in either work position (and deadheaded, since there is no cylinder connected) the 3-point is non responsive and you can plainly hear the fluid hissing and the tractor laboring.
This is a 1754, so slightly different details here.

PROBLEM SOLVED I thank everyone for their advice. When you take off the backhoe, two of the hoses go together with a quick coupler and it appears that it had not snapped completely into the locked position. At a glance, the connection appeared to be together but your advice caused me to check everything carefully. I had used the auger for 8 or 10 holes before the problem appeared. You saved me from tearing my tractor apart to figure it out.
