Throttle lever sticking?

I have a ck20 that I dearly love, but have had my throttle lever sticking of late. It does not throttle down right away when you move the throttle back. It will ususally do so, but may take several seconds. When throttling up, it does not always increase rpm's as you would expect it to, but may jump up all of a sudden. Is this common? Can it be addressed with lubrication?

my dk35 was doing the same thing , sprayed wd 40 on linkage under hood works great now . good luck, jim

Worked like a charm, thanks for the suggestion. If ever I find a problem, or perceived problem with the tractor I just need to run out and hose it with penatrateing oil. So far it has fixed everything from my stiff four wheel drive lever, to my sticky hst peddle and everything between.
