So on my L4350 pushing the throttle lever forward increases engine rpm's and on my B7800 pulling it back increases engine rpm's. When did they change that or is it a model difference? Personally I like the forward/go and back/stop
variation the best.

My theory is that Japanese swords cut on the pull stroke (backwards) so that's how their throttle works.

My 1980 B7100 was pull for more speed, push for less, my mid-90's B7100 was push for more speed, pull for less. My 2005 B7610, is pull for more speed, push for less (like the earlier B7100). My mid-90's G1800 is push for more speed pull for less, and is also on the left side, where the other three are on the right side.

The inconsistency is maddening. If cars where this inconsistent in the primary controls, we'd have a lot more accident (but officer, my OTHER car has the brake pedal on the right, and accelerator on the left....).

As a pilot, I prefer push for more power, as that is the way all airplanes are.

On ours the RPM's increase as you pull it toward you...kind of a pita if you knee is inclined to bump the lever...

...could knee bumping complaints be a reason? I dunno.

I've got a bx and I'm pretty sure pulling it makes it speed up.

On my Kubotas, Fords and Massey Ferguson and one Case pull back and one Case forward and John Deere push forward...
