Hi all,
First post. I have a Kubota L3410 HST (approximately 34 Hp). Looking to buy a tiller. I have a lead on a used KK 54" for $1000 or I could get a new KK II 60" for $1479 from FleetFarm. FleetFarm also has the KK 54" XBX for $1449, around $30 less. I believe the used 54" may be an XB, haven't looked at it yet, planning to look it over today. I am going to verify how far the used 54" can be offset as as my tractor is also 54" wide at the back wheels.
Questions: If I were to buy from FleetFarm, is it really a no brainer to go with the KK II over the XBX for the money? What is everyone's opinion with regards to the 54" XBX vs the 60" II? Besides the number of flanges and depth of tillage and Gear Drive and welds and such on the used one, what other things should I look for? After reading a few posts, I am assuming my tractor should be able to handle either fairly well, or am I wrong? Note; I do have fluid in my back tires.
Thanks for taking the time to review my questions. Jay
