Tiller for YM 2310D

Planning to buy Yanmar tiller RS1500 for my YM2310D.
Not sure if it will fit well. Concerned about the weight of the tiller.
If somebody knows could you tell how heavy is the RS1500 tiller ?

I think that RS1500 is the correct tiller for YM2310D.

The next size smaller tiller, RS1400, was made specifically for YM2000.

Also, I use a RS1400 on my YM186D (same as YM1510) and while it makes this little tractor work hard, I don't have a problem lifting it.

You will be ok.

As for actual weight: I can move the RS1400 by hand on hard ground, so it is maybe 120~140kg. RS 1500 would be a little more. These tillers aren't heavy, you will be well below your maximum lift capacity.

For what it is worth I have a copy of the YM2010 parts manual. Included in it is the parts manual for the RS1404 and RC1604 tillers. I assume both the tillers must be compatible with the YM2010. Both are chain drive tillers.

I don't know how to interpret the model numbers. The RS1500 may be gear drive and weigh more than the RC1604?

Personally, I don't think it will be to heavy for your 2310. :thumbsup:

Too bad you are across the pond, I have a tiller I am debating on selling. It came as a package deal with my 2310D and I have no use for it.

RS 1400, RS1500 etc are width in mm. 55 inches, 59 inches. And they were painted green, so they are earlier than the red RS1404 etc. Beyond that ... that's all I know.

too bad your in TX I might be interested. But not in the logistics of getting one from texas when I can buy them closer to home...just looking for a deal on one better than I can buy from Spalding or Frederics

No information on the 2310D but can tell you the American sold 276D lift capacity is 650kg at the pins and 630kg 24" back. Not much difference but that is what the service manual shows. The 276 is very close in size to the 2310.
