I have the Kink Kutter XB for my BX-25. I couldn't find any info in the owners manual concerning oil change intervals for the top and side gear box.
does this fluid ever need to be changed? I don't think I could find what type of oil either.
Thanks.

I change my tillers gear box oil after ten hours of operation of the tiller. I consider that the "break in". Any good GEAR oil will do. Get a GL5 rated 80-90 wt. oil. Run it a bit to warm the oil. Get you a tube to siphon it out if it don't have a drain plug. Might take a hour or more to siphon it all out. Then add fresh till it is about half way full or till it runs out the check plug. Your done!
