Tiller Tiller quality question

I'm in the market for a tiller for my tractor. It's a little 15 hp Bolens/Iseki 4x4, weighing in around 1200lbs. I called around to find most of the 40-42 inch tillers in my area are running between $1300-$1500. The local Kobota dealer has a Landpride reverse roation tiller for what looks like a resonable price for my area. Does anyone have any experience with Landpride tillers? How well do they hold up? How are parts availablility? Ease of maintainance? et al?

I don't have the answer to any of your questions but would like to offer this. I just bought a land pride RTR1050 reverse tine tiller for my 2305 JD. An RTR1042 will take every bit of horse power your Bolens has, 4X4 is a must, you will need rear wheel weights and some weight added to the front. It will do a good job tilling but it will be slow going.

Land Pride tillers are made by a very large manufacturer, with excellent parts availability. Quality is also very good. I've been running a 58" Land Pride since 1987.

Agree, LP makes good stuff. In my area I happened on a First Choice that has given me excellent service. Not trying to add to your dilemma, just mention as an option.

I bought a used Yanmar RS1200 rototiller ($300) from my local grey market tractor guy last September. Plan to do some tilling if it ever stops raining here in the North Valley.

The tiller is 48" wide and fits nicely on my B7510HST (21 HP engine). It might be a little large for your tractor, but I saw smaller rototillers on the lot when I picked mine out.

Check with your local grey market guy. You probably have several in your neck of the woods.
